The traditional Asian dance

The MANGA EXPO Team rolls up its sleeves to amaze you. We will make you travel accross Asia, through its traditions, culture and especially its dances.

Through the traditional dance, a part of its history and of its legend will be told and imparted to you by the dancers.

For this edition there will be Japanese dance as well as dance from other Asian countries.


Several association and clubs have reunited to make up the most beautiful spectacle of Asian dances. You can already see some of them.

The name of our compagnie is Bhinneka Tunggal Ika, the name of the Indonesian national anthem that means « the Unity in the Diversity ».
The crew is composed of Indonesian, French and foreign professional artists who live in France. It presents classic dances from Java and Bali as well as some more modern choregraphies from Sumatra and from the region of Betawi (Jakarta).
It is directed by Yita Dharma, a dancer, choregraph and dance teacher born in Bandung (West Java) who took part in numerous representations in Europe and North Africa since 1976.
